53rd Annual Bluemont Fair Announces Poster Design Winner

Organizers of the 53rd Annual Bluemont Fair, set for September 16 & 17, 2023, are pleased to announce that Michelle Finch is the winner of this year’s poster design contest. Michelle’s design was chosen from a large number of creative submissions by artists of all ages from across the region. Her graphic, which evokes stone walls, a field of sunflowers, and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance, beautifully captures the essence of what makes Bluemont such a unique and special place in Northern Virginia. Michelle’s design will be featured on the Bluemont Fair’s distinctive poster, T-shirt, and other fair memorabilia.

Michelle Finch is a graphic designer with over fifteen years of experience. She began her career designing materials for a non-profit youth orchestra program before transitioning to the corporate world, where she served as the marketing department lead for a technology company. Growing up in a Coast Guard family, Michelle lived in California, Alaska, and Virginia before settling in the picturesque Bluemont with her dog, Daisy, and husband, Matt. In addition to graphic design, Michelle enjoys photography, particularly landscape and nature photography—an interest that aligns perfectly with the abundant natural beauty of Bluemont—and web design.
